Scholarship in service
of the church.
Craig R. Fredrickson is an independent scholar, writer, and adult Bible teacher based in South Carolina.
A life of reading and teaching
Craig’s work brings close biblical interpretation into conversation with the life of the church. His interests center on how Scripture describes God’s people: their redemption, fellowship, worship, obligations, and hope.
He has spent approximately fifteen years teaching adult Bible classes. His writing seeks to serve both the demands of careful scholarship and the questions people bring into a room where Scripture is being read together.
Before retirement, his professional life focused on executive leadership, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. He now devotes his attention to research, writing, and teaching.
Why Habura?
The name takes its cue from the Hebrew term for a company or fellowship. It reflects a recurring question in the research: how does God’s saving work gather a people and shape their life together?
Habura Research gives that inquiry a home through published scholarship, commentary projects, reflective essays, and resources for the church.
Rooted in Scripture
Careful reading and spiritual formation belong together in this work. The aim is to help readers attend to what Scripture says and allow its teaching to shape love, faith, conduct, and worship.
